Our History

FST was founded in 1984 to provide TICC services to the needs of the worldwide semiconductor/microelectronics and biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries. Our founders vowed to bring together business owners and contractors to fulfill their mutually underserved need: the development of clean installation methods that fulfilled strict internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Since then, we’ve continually expanded our business across sectors through key acquisitions, including:

  • 2015 – Auburn Metrology Lab, Inc., specializing in the calibration and repair of electronic test equipment.
  • 2018 – AMA Consultants, reinforcing our presence in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • 2020 – Horizon Engineering Associates, LLP, adding to our already strong expertise in quality control and building commissioning services for mission critical facilities.
  • 2025 – Criterion Labs, Inc., enhancing FST’s presence in gas line testing for semiconductor and other advanced manufacturers.
