Testing Services
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) testing services are crucial for ensuring the quality, safety and reliability of products. FST’s services encompass a wide range of testing methods and standards to meet the specific requirements of various industries, such as aerospace, automotive, defense, pharmaceutical and medical devices.

TESTING SERVICES
Cleanroom Performance Testing
FST is a NEBB Certified Firm that provides comprehensive cleanroom performance testing, per ISO standards, to ensure optimal environmental conditions for sensitive operations. Our services include verifying airflow, particle counts, and filtration efficiency to maintain stringent cleanliness standards. Our qualified technicians use advanced equipment to conduct thorough assessments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Trust us to help you maintain a controlled and contamination-free cleanroom environment.
Biosafety Cabinet Testing
Biosafety cabinets are essential containment barriers found in cleanrooms, research centers, and hospitals. They offer localized protection through HEPA filtration and exhaust systems, making their reliability crucial for safety. FST is a NEBB Certified Firm that provides consistent performance testing of biosafety cabinets (BSCs), per ISO standards, which is vital to safeguarding both researchers and their experiments from potential exposure or contamination. FST’s personnel are specifically trained and accredited to ensure that these units meet the highest standards and regulations.
Fume Hood Testing
FST conducted inspection checks of the installation, as well as pre-functional testing of the hood exhaust terminal, vortex baffle actuator and controls, per ISO standards. They measured the face velocity at each sash position using a calibrated hot wire anemometer prior to performance testing. FST also verified the supply and exhaust flow differential in the laboratory and assessed the pressure relationship between the lab and the corridor
User Acceptance Testing and Factory Acceptance Testing
FST conducts user acceptance testing (UAT) and factory acceptance testing (FAT). UAT follows the conclusion of functional, integration and system testing. UAT is performed in a separate testing environment with a data setup that models the production environment. Manufacturing projects will require a FAT at the outset of a project.
Contamination Testing, Helium Leak Testing and Troubleshooting
FST conducts contamination testing and analysis, capable of detecting impurities at extremely low levels to avert irreversible damage. Utilizing a Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector (MSLD), FST can pinpoint leaks within or from a system or containment device. Upon detection of a leak or contamination, FST collaborates with the client to identify the contamination source.
Testing and Certification of Bulk Gases Systems
FST offers testing and certification services for helium leak detection, sub-micron particle counts, and precise moisture and oxygen quantification. Additionally, FST performs reduction gas detector analysis using advanced flame ionization detectors (FID) and discharge ionization detectors (DID). These services achieve low parts per billion/trillion (PPB/PPT) certification for Clean for O2 Service (CFOS) and Ultra High Purity (UHP) Bulk Gas Distribution Systems.
Water Systems Testing
FST has experience and expertise in process water systems. The testing process concludes with a reliable acceptance and certification of the Installed UPW Process Water Systems and a detailed report, including a Total Organic Compounds (TOC) analysis, resistivity results and particle count evaluation
Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) and Nondestructive Testing (NDT)
NDE and NDT are integral to the evaluation of components, materials and systems based on the specifications of certifying bodies such as ISO or regulatory bodies such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). NDE and NDT also account for customer-specific specifications.
Weld Inspection
FST employs SNT-TC-1A certified personnel for visual testing (VT), dye penetrant (PT) and magnetic particle (MT) testing with acceptance criteria based upon ASME, American Welding Society (AWS) and other industry standards. FST provides procedure writing, qualifications, weld mapping and a weld material library.
